Our
On-going projects:
We have previously done several remodel projects for these clients and their confidence in our work ethics led them to hiring us to build their custom home. These clients greatly appreciate the fact that we are on site daily and work with our crew. We welcome daily conversations for an over view the days progress and any changes that may be requested. We are always available for client consultations with any sub-contractors and client design teams.
Extra care is taken when we build a custom home from the ground up-literally. We require a one foot footing providing extra re-enforcement instead of an eight inch footing that code requires. All crawl spaces are are kept clean and lined with visqueen. All floor sheeting and walls are glued, screwed and nailed respectively. Our recent meeting with the framing inspector left him more than impressed with the detail and consideration in which the home is being built.
A double fascia has been constructed out of rough sawn cedar as well as 1" x 6" tongue and groove, rough sawn cedar soffits. All the cedar was pre-finished on all four sides to prevent shrinkage and weathering.
Natural quarry sandstone adorns exterior walls and chimneys and the interior fireplace. The fireplace is a floor to ceiling masterpiece with a gas fireplace that is thermostatically remote controlled.
The massive tower which will include a bar/ lounge area on the ground floor and exercise room upstairs providing panoramic views was built of structural steel. Off the the exercise/bonus room there is 400 square feet of finished storage area.
A fifty year architectural shingle is being applied over thirty pound felt instead of the normal fifteen pound.
The windows are Pella Designer series, all triple pane with interiors blinds.
We appreciate the daily contact with our clients in every aspect of building their home, from electrical layout to furniture placement while the home is still in the framing stages. This can save costly changes at a later date. We can place extra blocking in areas where heavy pieces of art may be hung and wire for specialty lighting, media and alarms. This home has been completely wired for low voltage lighting.
Specialty plumbing items in this home include a twenty-seven jet Jacuzzi waterfall tub and wall mounted faucets. A replica antique vanity will be custom built and we will retrofit an antique vanity to accept vessel sinks.
Heating and cooling includes two furnaces with five zones for maximum efficiency.
This home will have all custom wood work. The knotty alder trims and moldings will be custom made in our wood shop. The kitchen cabinets will also be custom made out of distressed knotty alder.
There are many more special amenities going into this home, so remember to check back and follow our progress.
